_Case Study : Packham Library, London.
Peckham Library is a library and community center in Peckham, London's south-east borough. Alsop and Störmer designed it, and AKT II engineered it. It won the Stirling Prize for Architecture in 2000. It's a remarkable structure that looks like an inverted capital letter 'L,' with thin steel pillars arranged at seemingly random angles supporting the upper half. The building's façade is made of pre-patinated copper.
